Only 26 months old, GCh Ch Wise Choice Hercule Poirot CGC made the cut at Westminster 2011! He also saw his father, Webber (AOM), retire following a successful show career as #1 Bouvier des Flandres for 2009 and 2010!

2012 News

Jan. 19-22 - First outing of the year and Mousse goes Best of Breed, Best of Opposite and twice Reserve Winners Dog at Winter Classic in Novi, MI. 

2011 Highlights

Dec. 3 - Watson snagged a three point major win toward his AKC Championship!

Oct. - American Bouvier des Flandres National Specialty

Oct. 4 - Poirot and Watson went herding and received their ABdFC Herding Instinct Tested (HIT) certificates!

Oct. 2 - Ten month old Watson won his first point toward his AKC Championship. 

Sept. 23 - Basenji Club of America National Specialty

Sept. 22 - Basenji Club of America Veteran Sweeps - Junior handler Brooke (5 yo) and Titan (Ch Nyanga's Star of Kidibu, 13 yo) stole the show and the hearts of spectators with their entry in the 13+ Veteran Dogs class.  They received a standing ovation from the crowd as they gaited with spirit. 

Sept. 20 - Basenji Club of Southeastern Wisconsin Specialty

Aug. 27-28 - Poirot became a new UKC Champion while his nine-month old son, Watson, tallied 85 points toward his UKC Championship!

Aug. 5-6 - Eight-month old Mousse took Breed over his Dad, Hemingway!  The next day Mousse received a Puppy Group 1 at Sturgis Kennel Club Show!

July 30 - Hemingway went Reserve Best In Show Veteran at the the Great Lakes Sieger (IABCA)!  Poirot and Hemingway also achieved their National Championships while Mousse and Mystery Man achieved their Ju.A titles (International and National Junior Champions).   

July 1 - Seven-month old Lil' Toots (Hemi X Glitter) goes WB/BW for a three point major at Maryland shows!

June 15 - Our Mentor and Co-breeder, Damara Bolte' was featured in AKC's Breeder of Merit Inner Circle:  "Exclusive:  Seeking Basenjis on Safari"  http://www.pages01.net/americankennelclub/newsletters/BreederofMerit/2011_june_bolte/

June 12 - Poirot received a Group 4 at Mt. Pleasant, MI shows in a very competitive herding group line up!  

June 11-12  Six month old Mousse and Mystery Man made their AKC debuts at the Mt. Pleasant, MI shows.  Mousse went WD and MM went RWD for both days while Dad Hemingway took BOB.

April 16 - Hemingway (Am/Intl CH Reveille the Bell Tolls JC) received two Group 1s against competition and became a NEW UKC Show Champion.  Not bad for a ten year old!  Judges remarked on his excellent condition/muscling and one enthused, "I'd breed to him!" 

Mar. 19-20 - Poirot travelled to Windsor, Ontario, Canada for the Canadian Kennel Club shows where he took a Best of Winners on Saturday, a Winners Dog on Sunday, and a trip around the Junior Showmanship ring (Pee Wee) with 4 year old Brooke! 

Feb. 14 - Poirot made the cut at the 135th Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show at Madison Square Garden; his father, Webber, received an AOM and has retired!

Jan. 31 - Poirot (GCh Ch Wise Choice Hercule Poirot CGC) was #9 Bouvier (Canine Chronicle) having tallied 8 BOBs and a Group 3, with Stacy Snyder-Work handling
